Here’s the nitty gritty on me
I use human-centered design principles to tackle people's challenges. My combo background in design, programming, and user research means that I work well with multidisciplinary teams. My design process tends toward the compassionate and minimalistic.
I started out as a developer working on mobile apps and game UIs. Over the years, I met some incredibly talented & supportive designers who inspired me to start my own design career. I ran a tiny design agency—Coastal—to provide UX, UI, and print design services to clients in the Seattle area. I also pursued a Master's in Health Informatics at the University of Washington, and thereafter focused Coastal on serving healthcare organizations and startups.
After working with Microsoft, Amazon, and REI, I now work to help people see social differently at Sprout Social.
